01

Understand the school day

Ask about the curriculum, languages used in different subjects, timetable, homework and communication with families. Find out how new pupils join their class and whom they can approach in the first weeks. Concrete arrangements tell you more than a general promise of an international environment.

02

Separate interest from admission

A school tour does not confirm a place. For publicly funded schools, the Generalitat publishes the admission and enrolment procedure for each academic year; private schools must explain their own conditions. Check age group, year, vacancies, documents and the stage at which a place is actually confirmed.

03

Connect school and home

Test the morning journey and plan collection and activities. Compare the complete family schedule and costs, not tuition alone. Keep an alternative school plan while choosing housing. The aim is a workable relationship between child, school and family life, rather than a name winning a ranking.
